Rock Trust is Scotland’s leading youth homelessness charity — helping over 1,000 young people every year to avoid and move on from homelessness. We built their WordPress platform with the people who use it most in mind: young people in crisis, families, referrers, donors, and supporters — all with very different needs from the same site.

The Challenge
Building for the people who need it most
Rock Trust helps over 1,000 young people every year — but their website needed to do more than tell that story. It needed to be the tool that connects young people in crisis with the right support quickly, gives donors confidence to give, and provides professionals and referrers with the information they need to act.
For a charity working with young people facing homelessness, accessibility and inclusivity aren’t optional extras — they’re central to the mission. A young person arriving at the site in distress, potentially on a borrowed phone and whose first language isn’t English, needs to find what they’re looking for immediately. Any friction in that journey is a barrier to getting help.
At the same time, Rock Trust needed a robust fundraising infrastructure — one-off and recurring donations via Stripe and GoCardless, connected to Donorfy CRM so every supporter relationship could be properly managed and nurtured over time.
